We welcome applications from appropriately qualified doctors to join the UKDMC list of approved medical referees and access our closed forum discussion group.
The basic requirements include:
- Recognised medical qualification
- Practising sport diver with advanced diving qualification
- Recognised diving medicine education, for example attending courses or diving medicine research publications
- Appropriate premises, revalidation, GDPR compliance and indemnity cover

The committee (after consideration on a case by case basis) will usually permit existing referees who are no longer active divers e.g. due to health reasons, to remain as referees providing all other criteria are met.
